Oud
Spanning 2,000 years of trade history, Oud goes by many names including: agarwood, aloeswood, eaglewood, gharuwood, Jinko, or Gaharu. A fragrant dark resinous wood used in medicinal, aromatic, and religious purposes, it is also known as the Wood of the Gods.
Complex and pleasing, there are few or no similar natural analogues to replace agarwood.
In a perfume state, it is mainly distinguished by a combination of "oriental-woody" and "very soft fruity-floral" notes. While its incense smoke is characterized by a "sweet-balsamic" note and "shades of vanilla and musk" and amber.
At Sifr Aromatics, we value the history of natural ingredients and do our best to preserve the distinctive beauty of ingredients while crafting new experiences.
